I am throwing this out there to see if people would be interested in having me give a talk about shooting in public, shooting alternative images in public, what is allowed, what you need permission for, and what
I have been doing public fetish sorts of shoots for years in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, many other places. I have been interviewed by the Police, Security guards and more.
I have made the news a few times for some of my shot in public work.
way back in 1998 this was the first time I did a public fetish photo shoot. I do not remember how I met the model, but I picked her up on Bainbridge Island, and we rode the ferry back to Seattle. This is also where my term, “Terrorizing the Tourists” came from.
She went by a couple of names, Despair, and Omoikuru predominantly.
These were all shot on film with a little point and shoot camera. we all have to start somewhere…
My first hate mail was generated from these images. they were shot on film about 1999. Back then there was not much fetishized girls and guns images. The thing I found (and still find) is that the demographic of the people that find these the most offensive are males 18-45. and the demographic of people that like them the most are women 30+, particularly 60+
My personal theory is that they show empowered women and men feel emasculated by them.
